This rich and creamy homemade rose body cream is great for dry skin. It contains skin–loving ingredients like cocoa butter, avocado butter, and squalane oil (derived from olive oil). Avocado oil is extracted by pressing the pulp of the fruit. It is a great source of Vitamins D, E and A. For centuries, the Indigenous peoples of Central and South America have used avocado oil for skin and hair care.

The avocado is regarded as a superfood because it is so nutrient–dense. Avocado oil functions well as a carrier oil for other flavors. Avocado oil has a similar monounsaturated fat profile to olive oil and is naturally low acidic. If you’re looking for ideas, read our post 3 uses for avocados. This will show you ways to incorporate this beneficial fruit into your daily life.

Avocado oil has many applications. It is used in health, culinary, and beauty. These benefits have increased its popularity recently. It is used in cosmetics for its moisturizing and regenerative properties. When used in hair and skin care products, it is usually refined. The color and scent are removed after extracting. Read our post 5 beauty treatments using avocado oil for some DIY homemade products. These products are beneficial for skin and hair. They incorporate this wonderful ingredient.

This oil is excellent at lowering cholesterol, aiding in weight–loss and is even good for eye health. Due to its high nutrient content, it is still used in skin care products for dry, damaged and aging skin. Avocado oil helps to prevent wrinkles and fine lines. It also locks in skin’s moisture. It is still used in hair care products for its essential fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid content.

About the Ingredients

This recipe creates a thick lotion that absorbs quickly and leaves skin feeling soft. The combination of moisturizing butters like avocado and cocoa thicken the cream. Lightweight oils like sunflower and squalane ensure there’s no greasy feeling. It’s scented with rose essential oil and rose extract (hydrosol). This blend creates a sweet yet sophisticated floral scent. It has notes of geranium and vanilla. A touch of rose petal powder creates a soft pink hue.

Did you know that rose essential oil was Cleopatra’s favorite? She used to apply it to her entire body. Back then, it was hard to come by and therefore pretty expensive (and still is). Equipment Prep

Sanitize your utensils by boiling them in distilled water and allowing to dry. This includes mixing containers, whisks, and any spoons or spatulas that may come in contact with your mask. Your products must be as free of germs, bacteria, and microbes as possible. If you’re a beginner, you might feel unsure about avoiding bacterial growth. You may also wonder about mold growth in your homemade self-care products. Check out our quick guide to cosmetic preservatives.
