Handmade Rollie Pollie Organizer
As a mommy of twins, I’m always in need of ways to conveniently lug around all four member’s of my family’s “stuff.” A while back I made this Rollie Pollie organizer and embroidered each family member’s name on the individual pouches. This way, I only need to roll it up, pack it, and everyone’s toiletries can easily be found in one place.
This is an all-purpose organizer featuring 4 detachable, zippered pouches that are all rolled up into a secure, small package. It can be hung up or folded flat for compact storage when not in use. Velcro strips hold the pouches and flap securely in place. A convenient side handle makes for easy carrying. Perfect for cosmetics, crafts, jewelry, toys and gift giving. Instructions included for 3 sizes.
You can even line the inside of the individual “pouches” with water-resistant “shower curtain” fabric. Making these pouches ideal for storing toiletries that might be wet, safeguarding your other garments, makeup, etc. while traveling. Make it out of same matching fabrics or different coordinating fabrics. That way, mix and match it with your other travel bags and look stylish while traveling.
Customize Options
Also, you can use cotton canvas, upholstery fabric, or duck cloth. Those are all very sturdy fabrics that are also washable. You can embroider or use bag tags to personalize your bag compartments with the contents or your loved ones’ names. Whatever works for you.

Concise directions and illustrations take you step-by-step through the process. The Rollie Pollie Organizer downloadable PDF pattern pieces and instructions are sized to print on standard letter sized paper.
I’ve recently become aware of certain copyright restrictions for disseminating this pattern and tutorial. I strive to provide my audience with help, tips, ideas, and advice that is completely free. However, in this instance, I’m unable to do so.
That said, I still highly recommend visiting Cozy Nest Design’s website (or store on Etsy) and purchasing this pattern because with it you can make this bag many times and gift them to friends and family. The designer even offers this Cosmetic Bag pattern and tutorial for free on its own.
