This Father’s Day

This Father’s Day – if you’re wondering how to celebrate dad. Consider gifts which celebrate his strengths, struggles, and accomplishments while at the same time helping to protect the environment.

Consider purchasing something locally instead of shipping it. If choosing to ship, Amazon now lets customers request minimal packaging and/or no plastic packaging.

Even better, dad will love a gift that is homemade, there are thousands of ideas, recipes, and tutorials online (especially on Pinterest) to DIY just about anything.

If your man experiences sensitive skin after shaving, replace his usual after-shave (most of which contain harsh fragrances, dyes/alcohol) which can exacerbate his sensitive skin with a completely natural, organic DIY lemon seed moisturizer like the one on my previous post.

And lastly, consider gift wrap options that are reusable and not paper-based. On my personal journey to a more plastic-free and zero-waste homestead. I researched and purchased the items displayed in a gallery below.

If you’re like me and have difficulty coming up with gift ideas for the man in your life who already “has everything.” I included these photos to give you some ideas on what to give dad. I am not advocating the use of any particular brand or product.

Happy Father’s Day to all the super-duper tremendous dads out there! From my family to yours.
